Description

Colombia, Cartagena: a beggar woman in the "Cathedral de Cartagena" (2). The official name is "La catedral (Basílica Metropolitana) Santa Catalina de Alejandria de Cartagena de Indias". The Cathedral was designed by Simón González and modelled after basilicas in Andalusia in Andalusia and the Canary Islands. Its construction began in 1577, replacing a humble cathedral of straw and reeds.
