0261 - A view at Akureyri.

A view at Akureyri with the Akureyrarkirkja, the Lutrheran church of Akureyri, located on top of a hill and at walking distance from the city Center. The building is more or less similar to the church in Reykjavik because they were designed by the same architect Guðjón Samúelsson (16 April 1887 – 25 April 1950). He was a State Architect of Iceland, and the first Icelander to be educated in architecture. Akureyrarkirkja was completed in 1940.
