1007 - Orne Harbour: Oops, this is deep!

Antarctica, Antarctic Peninsula, Gerlache Strait, Orne Harbour: this chinstrap penguin has a breeding place quite deep in the snow. This is not unusual. Penguins try to find solid ground since the snow and ice will disappear during the breeding season.
